Clute clubbed 21 hits and built an early 10-0 lead as it ripped Round Rock in the title game. Clute scored five times in the top of the first inning (a rally keyed by Javier San Miguel's two-run double), and, after escaping a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the inning, added five more in the second (Cole Bruce and David Pena both connected on two-run homers in the inning). The victors put the game away with seven in the sixth inning. Clute needed a last-minute rally to overcome Waco Lake Air in the winner's bracket finals. San Miguel capped a four-run rally in the bottom of the sixth inning with an RBI single that tied the game at 6, then added a two-out single that drove in the winning run in the seventh to send Clute to the title game.
