The top two teams in each pool advance to the semifinal round.
Ties are broken based on records in head-to-head competition among tied teams. If a clear winner cannot be determined from head-to-head results, the tie is broken by calculating the ratio of runs allowed to defensive innings played for all teams involved in the tie. The team with the lowest runs-per-defensive-inning ratio advances.
In the event of a tie involving three or more teams, once the initial tie is broken, the remaining tied teams are again compared on head-to-head record to determine if a clear winner can be identified. If no clear winner can be identified from head-to-head results among the remaining tied teams, the runs-per-defensive-inning ratio is again used. This process is repeated until all ties have been broken.

Pennsylvania State Championship Game (Friday, July 26)
Lionville 12, Ridley Area 7 (TITLE)
Summary:
A pair of Eastern Pennsylvania teams travelled over 275 miles each before meeting in the Pennsylvania state championship game at the Kessel Athletic Complex in Bradford. Despite the distance from their home field, Lionville Little League's hitters were right at home in the batter's box.
Lionville collected 16 hits and had at least three baserunners in every inning, and overpowered Ridley Area Little League, 12-7, to win their first-ever state championship in the major baseball division. With the win, Lionville completed a sweep of its five state tournament opponents, and advanced to the Mid-Atlantic Region tournament in Bristol, Connecticut.
Lionville loaded the bases in the top of the first inning against Ridley, but failed to score. In the second, the District 28 winners advanced runners to second and third, then Ridley registered a pair of strikeouts and looked poised to escape again. But Justin Best singled up the middle to plate one run, and Michael Rodriguez rifled a double to right that scored another. Joseph Janick then doubled home Best and Rodriguez to give Lionville a commanding lead.
Ridley Area pulled two runs back in the bottom of the inning on Cole Dumont's home run, and stayed close as Lionville left the bases loaded in the third. But Lionville lefthander Connor Kalten allowed just one hit over the next three innings, and his team's offense stretched the lead to 11-2. Kalten extended the lead with a two-run homer to right field in the fourth, and Lionville then added five more in the fifth to pull away. Rodriguez singled in one run, and reserve Ethan Waldbuesser singled to center to drive in another. Zachary Burton splashed a single into short left field to add a third tally, before two more runs scored on a throwing error later in the inning.
Seven Lionville players had two or more hits in the game, including Best (three singles), Joseph Cestare (two singles and two walks), and Zachary Burton (two singles and two walks). Rodriguez and Janick each drove in a pair of runs with their two hits, while Kalten and Waldbuesser each chipped in a pair of hits. 21 of the team's 42 plate appearances in the game extended to four or more pitches, as Lionville forced Ridley's starting pitcher to the sidelines due to pitch count limits just one batter into the fourth inning.
Tyler Kehoe and Isaiah Payton each singled and doubled for Ridley Area.
Lionville's place in the championship game was not secured until the final batter of their 8-7 semifinal round win over Keystone Little League. Keystone grabbed a 7-6 lead in the top of the fifth, and moved to within one out of a victory by quickly retiring the first two Lionville hitters in the top of the sixth inning. Rodriguez walked on a full count pitch, and after a conference on the mound, Keystone elected to intentionally walk Janick, whose three-run homer earlier in the game was his fourth of the tournament. The walk put the winning run on base, and the strategy backfired when Kalten followed by lining a walk-off, two-run double down the right field line.
Keystone had jumped to a 5-1 lead early in the game when A.J. Smith slammed a two-run homer in the second, and Aaron Swartz added a three-run shot in the third. Lionville responded with five in the bottom of the third, including two on Cestare's opposite field homer and three on Janick's booming three-run shot to left.
Lionville had swept its three pool opponents in the tournament, including a 6-4 victory over Ridley Area in their opening game. Rodriguez struck out six and permitted just one hit over three innings of that opener, and Lionville slammed four home runs. Cestare opened the scoring with a solo shot leading off the bottom of the first, and Janick added a two-run shot later in the inning. Rodriguez later added solo shots in the second and fourth, with his second homer traveling over 320 feet and slamming off the scoreboard in a nearby field.
Lionville followed the opening round win with an 8-4 decision over Warwick Township Baseball Little League that secured first place in the Eastern Pennsylvania pool, and then topped North Pocono/Dandy Lion Little League, 11-7, in their final pool game. North Pocono lead 3-1 after one inning, but Lionville got run-scoring hits from Scott Jewett, Burton, and Justin Best as part of a five-run second inning. Cestare added a two-run double in the third, and Rodriguez slammed his fourth home run of the tournament in the fourth inning.
Ridley bounced back from their opening round loss, and won their two remaining pool games to earn a semifinal round berth as the pool runner-up. The District 19 champions blanked North Pocono, 10-0 in five innings, and then defeating Warwick Township Baseball, 6-3.
The victories earned Ridley a date with Western Pennsylvania pool champion West Point Little League in the semifinal round, and Ridley scored seven times in the first two innings of that game before cruising to a 9-4 victory. Kehoe (single), Logan Keller (reached on an error), and Tristian Corcoran (walk) all scored on wild pitches in the first inning, before Keller's two-run triple in the second extended Ridley's lead to 5-1. Keller later scored on a wild pitch and Corcoran added a run-scoring single as Ridley became the first District 19 league to reach the state championship game since Media Little League in 2009.
Lionville swept to victories in all four of its pool games at the Mid-Atlantic Region tournament, and defeated Berlin (Maryland) Little League, 9-3, in the semifinal round. Lionville's tournament run ended with an 8-2 loss to Newark National (Delaware) Little League in the region championship game.
