The Nevada State Tournament

The number of Little League baseball programs in Nevada has grown steadily over the past thirty years. Leagues are scattered throughout the state, with a heavy concentration of leagues in the Reno/Carson City and Las Vegas areas. The state originally encompasses a single district, but as Little League baseball has grown in Nevada -- and especially in the Las Vegas area -- the number of districts has increased. Today there are four districts in Nevada, and the champions of these four districts meet in a double-elimination state tournament that crowns the Nevada state champion.

Since 2022, Nevada's champion has advanced to the Mountain Region tournament in San Bernardino, California. The Mountain Region champion then advances to the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Prior to 2022, Nevada advanced to the West Region tournament.

Mountain Ridge Little League from Las Vegas became Nevada's first-ever qualifier for the Little League World Series in 2014, and finished as the United States champion. Three different Henderson-based leagues reached the West Region championship game, including Green Valley Little League in 1983 and 2001, and Paseo Verde Little League in 2008.
