Florida State Champions in the 1970s

Belmont Heights led a parade of Gulf Coast state titlists in the 1970s, including seven titlists from the Greater Tampa area. Belmont Heights garnered South Region titles and World Series berths in 1973 and 1975; the league's 1977 state champions fell in the South Region title game to the Hub City LL (Hattiesburg, Mississippi).

NOTE: Florida held two Bi-State Tournaments from 1967 through 1970. Both champions advanced to the South Region Division 3 Tournament.
